Hello SMF family! As you may know, yesterday was our hearing in the Washington state v. Gators Guns case in Cowlitz County. We were able to sit down with the owner of Gators Guns, Wally Wentz, to discuss the case and what our next steps are. If you didn’t catch the Livestream, you can watch that short interview below.
Our next hearing is scheduled for December 4th, 2023. At that time the judge will issue a full scheduling order. A scheduling order is an order issued by the judge that sets deadlines on when certain events in a case must occur. In these intervening 3 weeks, the focus of Silent Majority Foundation and the State of Washington is to identify experts and send over synopses. These synopses will include a list of our experts as well as what they are testifying to.
We have some definite positives with this case, one of which being that the judge has stayed true to the foundational issue of this case which is: “is this law constitutional?” Our Second Amendment is clear: “shall not be infringed.” This judge is also moving quickly instead of delaying the process which is very different from what we see with the rest of our 2A cases in other counties.
Thank you for your continued support! Without our supporters we would not be able to assist small business owners and veterans like Wally. Please consider a donation to help Wally with his case. Your donation directly funds the legal battle SMF is undertaking on behalf of Gator's Custom Guns. **The goal of $250,000 will cover the anticipated costs for litigation as we anticipate that this matter will be heavily litigated as SMF is digging in deep to protect your rights. Thank you!
Thank you 🇺🇸🇺🇸
