Oregon Measure 114 Update
Yesterday, the Oregon Supreme Court refused the State’s request to immediately review the challenge to Oregon Measure 114 through the lens of Arnold v. Kotek (See PDF link below). For those following, Judge Raschio in the Harney County District Court (Oregon state court) issued an injunction stopping enforcement of Measure 114 in December 2022. The Oregon Supreme Court has now been asked twice by the State of Oregon to intervene and overturn Judge Raschio’s order, but, as of yesterday, the Supreme Court has twice declined to intervene. We thank Judge Raschio for his willingness to protect the constitution and the OR supreme court for doing the same. For those of you losing hope, it’s still there!
